A Little More Shabazz

Here's some more video of Shabazz Napier signing his LOI -- or some piece of paper -- on Friday afternoon at the Tobin Community Center. Also donning his new UConn hat.

Nothing spectacular here, just emptying out some extra video on my flip camera this afternoon. Anyway, thought UConn fans might like to see their new recruit sporting his new hat. For what it's worth, I like this kid's attitude, and I think he'll be a big boon to the Huskies right away.

Heard (and some saw/confirmed) that Calhoun was in Seattle last Thursday to see Tony Wroten jr. I didn't even know he was on "our" list.....

Do you know anything about him or CJ Leslie?

How about a CJ Leslie update? You are really dropping the ball here, Dave.

Dave -

I hope you read this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know this name - SCOTT CACCIOLA??????????????

Google it and I am sure you will find his article on Calhoun for the WSJ. Is this not a clear hatchet job? The timing of this- before Leslie is to announce...is so suspect. Any input or insight you might have on this one?

I never actually worked with the article's writer and don't know him. That said, I don't find it to be a hatchet job, but rather a look into a relevant topic that seemed to have run him into roadblocks at nearly every turn.

It's not easy getting info out of UConn these days. Recruits have been similarly non-informative, so "updates" on where they stand with UConn (or any school) are often useless.

As to the above posts regarding Tyree Graham and Tony Wroten: Graham has not visited Storrs, though it's possible he will, and UConn saw Wroten in a workout during the recruiting period.

Check that -- Graham is not currently slated to visit Storrs.
